What is the difference between a regular course and a course challenge?
A course challenge consists of meeting one-on-one with an instructor and demonstrating the skills necessary for the certification. You will also be required to take a short written quiz. The course challenge is for individuals looking to recertify, and are extremely comfortable and confident in their skills.
How long is each course?
First Aid Basic Certification - 4 hours
First Aid Recertification - 2 hours
CPR/AED Basic Certification - 1 to 3 hours
CPR/AED Recertification - 30 min to 1.5 hours
Course Challenge - 45 minutes
When and how will I receive my certification card?
At the start of each course, you will provide an active email address. Within 12 hours after successful course completion, your digital certificate will be emailed to you. Participants or businesses can also request that hard copies be mailed to them.
What if I lose my certification card?
Your certification card comes in a digital format, and you will never loose access. If you print the certificate and misplace it, simply log on via the link emailed to you and re-print for no extra cost. If you loose the weblink or email, you may contact the instructor and a PDF version of the certificate will be mailed to you at no extra cost.
How do I pay for the training?
Payment is accepted in cash, check, or Venmo at the beginning of the course. Invoices can be created for company-wide trainings. Payment is required before, or at the time of the class.
Is there an age requirement?
There is not an age requirement for American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid courses. However, CPR/AED courses do require a significant amount of physical effort to effectively perform life-saving skills.
